xAI, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence business, is testing an independent iOS app for Grok, its chatbot, which was previously exclusive to X customers.
The app, which is now available in several countries, including the US, Australia, and India, can access real-time data from X and the web. It also has generative AI functions, such as the ability to create graphics from text prompts, rewrite text, summarize lengthy paragraphs, and even do some Q&A.
“Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed to be maximally truthful, useful, and curious. Get answers to any question, generate striking images, and upload pictures to gain a deeper understanding of your world”.
In order to make the chatbot available online, xAI is also getting ready to launch Grok.com, a dedicated website. Right now, when you sign in with an xAI account, the website reads “coming soon.”
Until recently, Grok was exclusively accessible to X’s paying customers. The firm began testing a free version of the chatbot in November, and earlier this month, it made it available to all users.
The business claims that their chatbot’s image generator model is excellent at “photorealistic rendering” and doesn’t impose any significant limitations on its ability to generate images, enabling users to utilize photographs of well-known people and protected content.
