With an ecosystem of cloud and technology providers like Domyn, Mistral AI, Nebius, and Nscale, as well as telecommunications companies like Orange, Swisscom, Telefónica, and Telenor, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom are among the countries developing their own AI infrastructure.

More than 3,000 exaflops of NVIDIA Blackwell computing resources will be made available by these installations for sovereign AI, allowing European businesses, startups, and government agencies to safely create, train, and implement agentic and physical AI systems.

In Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Finland, NVIDIA is setting up and growing AI technology hubs. These institutes expand on NVIDIA’s history of working with business and academic institutions to advance scientific research and the AI workforce throughout the regions through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute and NVIDIA AI Technology Center program.

“Every industrial revolution begins with infrastructure. AI is the essential infrastructure of our time, just as electricity and the internet once were,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “With bold leadership from Europe’s governments and industries, AI will drive transformative innovation and prosperity for generations to come.”

“France is committed to investing in AI to strengthen our economy, benefit our citizens, and uphold our values,” said Emmanuel Macron, president of the French Republic. “By working closely with our nation’s leading technology innovators and NVIDIA, we are equipping researchers, entrepreneurs, and public institutions with the tools they need to explore new ideas, tackle complex challenges, and help shape the future of AI for France.”

“Just as coal and electricity once defined our past, AI is defining our future,” said U.K. Tech Secretary Peter Kyle. “NVIDIA’s expansion of its technology center here in the U.K. will be vital in helping us to deliver on our AI ambitions, and their partnership in building the capabilities that will transform our AI Growth Zones into engines of opportunity. This is our Plan for Change in action, bringing together leading innovators to build the compute infrastructure that will drive growth across every region and secure the U.K.’s place as a global AI leader in the age of AI.”

“This agreement represents a strategic step toward strengthening Italy’s technological sovereignty and ensuring that our businesses have secure and competitive access to data management,” said Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso. “The collaboration with top-tier partners such as NVIDIA and Domyn confirms the government’s commitment to supporting high-level alliances to foster innovation and the competitiveness of the national production system.”

It needs deliberate investment in cutting-edge technology, land and buildings, sustainable energy sources, knowledgeable professionals, and collaborations to build AI infrastructure. NVIDIA is collaborating with leaders in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy to expedite the development of these domestic resources.

With ambitions to extend across numerous sites in 2026, Mistral AI and NVIDIA are collaborating in France to develop an end-to-end cloud platform that will be powered by 18,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell systems in the first phase. The adoption of agentic AI applications will be accelerated by this infrastructure, which will allow businesses throughout Europe to swiftly build and implement AI utilizing verified AI factory designs and optimized Mistral AI models.

To provide cutting-edge AI capabilities for companies and organizations of all sizes, NVIDIA is working with NVIDIA Cloud Partners Nebius and Nscale in the United Kingdom. The cloud providers revealed plans to install 14,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs to power new data centers as part of the first phase of their AI infrastructure development plans during London Tech Week. This will make scalable, secure AI infrastructure broadly available throughout the United Kingdom.

The first industrial AI cloud in the world is being constructed in Germany for European manufacturers by NVIDIA and its partners. Europe’s industrial leaders will be able to speed any production application, from design, engineering, and simulation to factory digital twins and robotics, thanks to the NVIDIA DGXTM B200 systems and NVIDIA RTX PROTM Servers with 10,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.

NVIDIA is collaborating with Domyn and the government in Italy to enhance the country’s autonomous artificial intelligence capabilities. In keeping with its goal of assisting regulated sectors in implementing AI, Domyn is working with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchips to create its Domyn Large Colosseum reasoning model on its supercomputer, Colosseum.

European Telecom Companies Construct AI Facilities As part of NVIDIA for Regional Enterprises, NVIDIA is collaborating with top European telecom companies, such as Orange, Fastweb, Swisscom, Telefónica, and Telenor, to create scalable, secure autonomous AI infrastructure throughout the area.

  • Orange Business’ Cloud Avenue, which is based on top-performing NVIDIA infrastructure, is helping Orange accelerate the development of enterprise-grade AI, such as agentic AI, massive language models, and personal AI assistants.
  • With the help of its NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputer, Fastweb unveiled MIIA, an Italian language model designed to facilitate generative AI applications. In addition to hosting a partner’s multilingual AI translation service, which is available in more than 100 languages, Telenor is growing its autonomous AI infrastructure in Norway with a new data center powered by renewable energy.
  • Swisscom is enabling Swiss businesses to quickly develop and expand AI applications by introducing new AI services like GenAI Studio and AI Workhub, which are housed on its independent AI NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD™-based infrastructure.
  • In order to provide low-latency, privacy-focused AI services, Telefónica is testing a distributed edge AI fabric with hundreds of NVIDIA GPUs around Spain.

Through these partnerships, businesses may leverage telcos’ vast networks and reliable position as providers of essential infrastructure to create and implement specialized AI models and agentic applications at scale.

  • In order to expedite the development of AI capabilities, research, and infrastructure for the continent’s businesses and startups, NVIDIA is setting up and growing technology centers in Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Finland. In order to promote international cooperation, the Bavarian AI center in Germany—which is planned to be developed in partnership with the Bayern KI consortium—will promote research in areas such as open-source robotics platforms, stable diffusion AI, and digital medicine.
  • With assistance from NVIDIA specialists and practical training from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute to aid in upskilling, the Sweden AI center will promote top-notch AI research.
  • With the CINECA collaboration, the Italy AI center will grow to accommodate future AI industrial installations.
  • With the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the Spain AI center will grow to incorporate a new AI factory.
  • The U.K. AI center will expedite the country’s most innovative research in Earth systems modeling, materials science, and embodied AI.
  • Researchers may expedite AI research and applications for computer vision, machine learning, and AI for science by utilizing the Finland AI Center.
