Through an open competition, Samsung Electronics’ worldwide education program, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, encourages young people to use their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) expertise to solve problems in their communities while honing their analytical abilities. The program offers hands-on experience at every level of innovation, from identifying issues and generating ideas to producing prototypes and verifying solutions. It goes beyond an ideas contest to provide participants access to Samsung’s Design Thinking training. Youth acquire critical problem-solving abilities that are both creative and practical via this process.

Since its inception as an essay contest in the United States in 2010, Solve for Tomorrow has expanded to 68 countries, providing a forum for young people worldwide to work together to develop ideas for a brighter future.

Global topics were added to the competition starting in 2025, with Environmental Sustainability via Technology and Social Change Through Sports & Technology as the first two. This strengthened Solve for Tomorrow’s position in tackling global issues through international cooperation.

While tackling urgent societal concerns like those pertaining to the environment, sports, and high-quality education, Samsung is still dedicated to expanding educational opportunities that foster talents that will be useful in the future, including design thinking. In order to enable students to actively contribute to creating a better society, the organization wants to increase its assistance for transforming their ideas into reality.
