Nokia announced that it has been chosen to provide an IP routing-based edge and core network solution across 30 data centers in 11 U.S. markets by CoreSite, an American tower company (NYSE: AMT) that powers critical business and AI workloads that affect daily life through interconnected data center solutions. For CoreSite’s over 40,000 client interconnections, the Nokia portfolio will meet the growing demands of cloud connectivity and interconnection for resource-intensive artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing workloads by delivering enormous scale, performance, and economy.
In order to guarantee that service availability complies with strict industry requirements, the data center architecture must offer high performance and scalable networking as CoreSite business, cloud provider, and network carrier clients increase their use of data-intensive services. In order to promote expansion efficiency, a data center facility with ultra-high-density power and superior cooling is essential.
“Our customers expect best-in-class performance and reliability at every level of the network. By deploying Nokia’s advanced IP routing portfolio across our data center campuses, we ensure that our network edge infrastructure stays ahead of market demands, providing customers with a seamless experience and faster access to mission-critical applications,” said Chris Malayter, Vice President of Network and Interconnection at CoreSite.
As businesses use CoreSite’s colocation centers for data processing and storage, new product and service development, and other business activities, the Nokia 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR-s) will offer high-capacity throughput, carrier-grade dependability, and innovative routing capabilities. The enormous size, performance, and dependability needed for IP interconnection inside data center campuses are provided by the Nokia 7750 Service Router (SR). Furthermore, Nokia FP5 silicon scales traffic with no performance degradation and enables high throughput and dependability for continuous data flows.
Rapid roll-out timelines and significant operational cost savings are anticipated from the smooth integration of the Nokia Service Router Operating System (SR OS) with CoreSite’s current environment.
”Collaborating with CoreSite has enabled us to drive the performance and scale of its multicloud connectivity and routing core. The integration of the Nokia 7250 IXR-s and 7750 Service Router allows CoreSite to adeptly manage increased traffic demands while ensuring low latency and reliable interconnection services that are essential to the modern digital economy,” said Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks at Nokia.
