Orlando Bloom, well-known for his countless film appearances and as one of Hollywood’s most stylish leading men, is also a Porsche fanatic. His admiration for the excellent design, technical innovation, and usefulness that define Porsche Design makes this a perfect collaboration. Orlando Bloom stars in Porsche Design’s new image campaign, wearing the classic Chronograph 1 watch as well as seven of the brand’s unique sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses.

The 911 of watches
The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition is the campaign’s showpiece. This model is based on the renowned Chronograph I, which was built in 1972 by F. A. Porsche, the creator of the Porsche 911. As the first all-black chronograph, it transformed the watch industry and was directly inspired by the Porsche 911 dashboard. It was extensively redesigned in 2022 before being reprinted by Porsche Design. Like other Porsche Design Timepieces, it is handcrafted in Porsche’s watch factory in Solothurn/Switzerland, where brilliance in automotive engineering meets the art of Swiss watchmaking.
An innovative cooperation
The Eyewear campaign features the classic P’8478 model, one of the world’s most distinctive eyewear designs, as well as six other sunglasses and prescription models from the new 2025 Porsche Design Eyewear Collection. The Porsche Design P’8478, created by F. A. Porsche in 1978, was the first sunglass model with an adjustable lens system. The teardrop-shaped 6-base curve lenses, which are available in a variety of colors, may be quickly switched thanks to this novel quick-release mechanism, allowing for smooth adaption to changing lighting situations. The P’8478 is made of incredibly lightweight titanium and scratch-proof, almost unbreakable polycarbonate, combining creative design with maximum performance and durability.
