The team competed under a Japanese license for the first time and entered the championship as a single organization for the first time. They also made their debut under the Nissan Formula E Team brand.
The team had more speed than in prior seasons while sporting a striking livery with a cherry blossom motif to symbolize the club’s Japanese origin as well as its fresh start in the sport. Highlights included finishing on the podium in Rome and winning pole position in Cape Town, despite consistently competing at the front of the race.
Nissan Formula E Team improved on an impressive first GEN3 season in Season 10, winning two races and finishing on the podium five more times to finish fourth in the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships and third in the Manufacturers’ Championship. Additionally, the team relocated its offices from Le Mans to the Paris region, underscoring the manufacturer’s unwavering dedication to both the series and the advancement of electric car technology.
In preparation for the 2024–2025 campaign, the new, cutting-edge plant is already completely functioning. Over 2,600 square meters make up the specialized Nissan Formula E Team facility, which includes a workshop, a simulator, engineering and administrative offices, as well as display, meeting, and multipurpose spaces. The headquarters, situated south of Paris, is adjacent to other Nissan locations as well as Alliance partners, guaranteeing synergies and access to the people, facilities, and equipment that Nissan and the group have to offer.
“We’re excited for the new season and have been working hard, getting to grips with the GEN3 Evo car. Our new workshop is fully operational now, which is making a huge difference—we’veeen able to take full advantage of the facilities, allowing us to maximize the potential of the team. In terms of drivers, Norman has settled in very quickly; he knew most of the crew already,, so that made things easier than normal. Together with Oli, we’re confident that we have a strong lineupready to fight for wins and podiums throughout the upcoming campaign. On top of that, we’ve got great companies supporting us, with Electromin extending and increasing its collaboration with the team to become our main partner, and Coral maintaining its support for our sustainability efforts. We’ll also have Marelli and Reflo as new partners for this season while continuing our existing relationship with Coral Eyewear. We’re fully focused on improving at every step and carrying on from where we left off a few months ago, as we aim to challenge at the top in Season 11,” said Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team.
