BMW and Kith collaborate for the third chapter of their partnership, showcasing three iconic vehicles that bridge heritage and innovation: the restored 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg, the 2024 BMW XM Kith Concept, and the limited-production 2025 BMW XM by Kith, which is the purchasable offer for the 2024 BMW XM Kith Concept.
Ronnie Fieg, the founder, CEO & creative director of Kith, is a renowned designer celebrated for blending fashion, art, and culture. As a lifelong BMW enthusiast, he brings his visionary design approach to this collaboration.
Fieg worked together with a skilled team to reimagine the BMW M1, a 1970s sports car icon. The vehicle has been meticulously restored, including leather sports seats featuring embossed Kith logos. Its exterior is finished in the rare Techno Violet color, a nod to the BMW design legacy from the 1990s.
The 2025 BMW XM by Kith offers cutting-edge performance with an M TwinPower V8 engine delivering 748 HP and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds. Its bespoke interior includes BMW Individual Black Merino Leather, Kith monograms, and illuminated headrest logos. Available in BMW Individual Frozen Techno Violet metallic and BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic, this model is limited to just 47 units worldwide.

The Concept of the BMW XM Kith.
As M GmbH’s first and only unique car, the BMW M1 will only have a spiritual sister in 2022: the BMW XM. In terms of construction, the high-performance SAV produced by BMW M is very different from the two-seater with a flat profile. However, its forward-thinking, unique design and M HYBRID drive continue the pioneering design and technology effort in the field of M high-performance cars.
Notably, the BMW M1 and BMW XM share a shared pedigree in that they were planned, developed, and produced with high performance in mind. While the BMW M1 epitomizes BMW M Motorsport’s history, the BMW XM hybrid drivetrain is structurally comparable to the BMW M Hybrid V8, the fastest race vehicle presently developed by BMW M Motorsport.
To underline these roots, Kith created a unique XM model. The BMW XM Kith Concept is finished in an especially produced unique paint called Frozen Techno Violet Metallic. This color option, created exclusively by Kith, emphasizes the relationship between the past and the present while also giving the car a distinct presence. This color complements the 23-inch 923 M light alloy rims, which are also painted, and enhances the distinctive Kith M insignia on the trunk lid. There are two distinctive highlights on the front of the XM Kith Concept: The M kidney has BMW Iconic Glow and gleams in a deep violet color, while the concept’s lower sets of headlights show the Kith insignia.
