Two owners of 2024 Lamborghini Revueltos will soon need to go to a dealer. Only two of the manufacturer’s brand-new supercars are being recalled due to a possible oil leak that may start a fire. An oil flange connection between the radiator and the oil tank may be problematic for the cars.
In October, a Revuelto caught fire in New York City, prompting Lamborghini to conduct a field inquiry into the incident. During an early December inspection, the car’s manufacturer discovered signs of an oil leak in the engine bay.
The vehicle in issue had a manufacturing rework on the oil circuit system, according to the recall report. An internal inquiry revealed that there was no proof that the worker tightened the screws to specification. Because it was unable to rule out a safety issue, Lamborghini decided to recall the two Revueltos after finding two more in the US with the same disparity.
The business stated that it is not aware of any mishaps, injuries, or more fires associated with the problem. By early February, Lamborghini will inform the impacted owners and advise them to go to a dealer so that a specialist may check the screws and tighten them if needed.
The Aventador has been replaced by Lamborghini’s newest flagship, the Revuelto. With a 6.5-liter V-12 and three electric motors producing 1,001 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque, it is also a plug-in hybrid. It can achieve 218 mph and reach 62 mph in 2.5 seconds.
