The new Audi Q3 is a seamless combination of smart technologies, clean looks, and easy operation. From the doors, a sizable application area spans the whole dashboard’s width, emphasizing the horizontal arrangement for the greatest possible sensation of spaciousness. The dashboard’s serene, unambiguous appearance is carried over into the console’s tidy, simple arrangement.

Audi’s concept of “visual clarity” is reflected in the cup holders’ and covered charging tray’s straightforward design and user-focused arrangement. The digital stage is at the center of it all. The panoramic display has a driver-oriented, curved shape and includes a 12.8-inch MMI touch screen and an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus. An optional head-up display that shows crucial information straight into the driver’s field of view is a complement to it. The vehicle’s aesthetic appeal, tactile quality, and general comfort are highlighted with chrome accents on the controls, flush door handles, and precisely matched materials with soft-touch surfaces.

The center console now features greater storage space, a new user interface, and a roomier feel thanks to a redesigned steering wheel control unit with two stalks on the steering column. The gear is selected by the lever on the right, while the illumination, wiper, and cleaning functions are controlled by the lever on the left. There is more room in the center console now that the gear selector is gone. Two cup holders and a sizable storage space beneath the height-adjustable middle armrest have been installed here. As a new design element, the front doors are now optionally available with large-area illumination. Stumpf adds, “To achieve this effect, over 300 diamond-shaped cutouts of varying sizes are laser-cut into the fabric panel. A light source in the door trim backlights the segments, which, due to their different sizes, show a dynamic lighting progression—even when unlocking and locking the Q3.”

Virtually produced surround sound is a feature of the optional SONOS premium sound system that offers an immersive audio experience. With a maximum amplifier output of 420 watts, twelve high-performance speakers—including a center speaker and a subwoofer—produce a strong sound. Volker Seemann from product marketing explains, “Targeted use of sound reflections creates a surround-sound effect that intensifies the spatial perception of sound. Thanks to intelligent signal processing, everyone sitting in the vehicle can enjoy a listening experience tailored to their individual seat.”

There is a customized sound profile in addition to four preloaded sound profiles (neutral, concert, lounge, and podcast). Through Functions on Demand (FoD), customers may now add functions to improve their sound experience at any moment. Three further characteristics are added to the chosen sound system by the sound function package. A stronger and more accurate bass sensation is produced by increasing the bass’s intensity. Audio rejuvenation enhances the sound of compressed audio files, and automatic level adjustment keeps the volume steady while switching sources.

There are nine different interior equipment packages to choose from. For wood applications, tough wood that grows quickly is utilized. The upholstery textiles Passage, Impressum, single-color cloth, and microfiber are all composed entirely of recycled polyester, as are the internal components of Impressum cloth. In order to eliminate waste and significantly lower the carbon footprint, all textile and microfiber seat coverings have been methodically created using monomaterials that may subsequently be recycled as single-origin materials in the circular economy. Audi uses Econyl, a fully recycled nylon fabric derived from used fishing nets, leftover carpet, and industrial waste, to make velvet velour floor mats.
