PEUGEOT created automotive history forty years ago with the launch of the 205 GTi. The 205 GTi introduced a new idea for the tiny sporty hatchback with its 1.6L (1984) and 1.9L (1986) models. • A more assertive posture

A body lowered by 30 mm and tracks expanded by 56 mm at the front and 27 mm at the back give the E-208 GTi, like other GTi models for 40 years, a firm posture on the road.

The muscular attitude is enhanced by the big 18-inch wheels with the “PEUGEOT GTi” logo. Their perforated design pays homage to the 205 GTi’s recognizable “Hole” wheels. However, a GTi’s design also improves performance, as these perforations maximize brake cooling.

A timeless and subtle external design

Another area where efficiency and beauty come together is in the wheel arches. In another tribute to the 205 GTi, they have been expanded to make room for the additional tracks and are accentuated with a sleek, athletic red line. Their bottom portion is flared to provide room for the tires, which highlights the car’s athletic design without going overboard.

The athletic posture of the Peugeot E-208 GTi is further subtly reinforced by the design work done on the lower surfaces of the front and rear fascias. The front bumper has been modified to include a front spoiler. Glossy black tinting has been applied to the particular aerodynamic diffuser beneath the rear bumper, which incorporates a new tiny LED fog light, for added style and secrecy.

Lastly, red is the color of the E-208 GTi! In a potent homage to the legendary red paint made popular by the original 205 GTIs, it is given a unique brilliant red body color.

A captivating and motivating environment within

The E-208 GTi’s interior is also infused with the dynamic and energizing red of the PEUGEOT GTi.

Similar to the 205 GTi, the E-208 GTi’s bright red carpeting, floor mats, and seat belts instantly give the cabin a sporty feel.

With integrated headrests and a central red accent that runs over the seat and backrest, the dynamic and sophisticated design of the particular front seats pays homage to the 205 GTi 1.9 seats. Also reminiscent of the 205 GTi 1.6 is the red mesh on the right side of the seats.

A crucial component of Peugeot’s driving experience is the small steering wheel, which has a center symbol that turns red and perforated red leather with Alcantara®.

A small, energetic silhouette

The E-208 GTi designers’ job was made simpler by the dynamic styling of the original E-208, which was a major factor in the model’s popularity. The E-208 GTi’s stance is enhanced by lowering the vehicle and expanding the tracks, which makes the E-208’s small body, with its ample shoulders and short overhangs, a perfect foundation.

A recognizable light signature

The recognizable three-claw light characteristic of all 208 vehicles is present on the Peugeot E-208 GTi. The lighting effect is amazing. By using three separate optical modules, the “full LED” headlights’ lighting function at the front extends the eye-catching impact of the three glowing claws built into the bumper. The car’s posture is further strengthened by the three horizontal claws at the back, which are made up of three sophisticated LED lines.
